DAKOTA
Name: DAKOTA
Age: 11 MONTHS
Sex: Female
Weight: 49
Breed: DOBERMAN PINSCHER
Reproductive: Spayed
Vaccinations: Fully Vaccinated
Microchipped: Yes
My Story:
Dakota was found on famous Cottonwood here in Bakersfield. She almost got hit by large trucks going by. She was eager to be rescued and get out of that horrible place she was in. She had Giardia from the contaminated water sources found in the fields and sumps. She was treated and doing well.
About Me:
Dakota is just under a year so she is young and playful. She is elegant and beautiful. She is very affectionate and does well with other dogs. Does fine on leash and rides great in the car. She loves to sleep in your bed and snuggle. Not food aggressive.
My Status: Adopted
Huge thanks to Casa de Love for taking Dakota into their rescue.

Rescue Partners
One of the most critical needs for our team are partners with the ability to help house Bakersfield Strays dogs upon being picked up. We have limited space and ability to hold them for long periods of time and our expertise is more generally suited for partnerships with larger private adoption agencies that can become a liaison between us and the forever homes of the dogs. We do have a process for becoming a partner that ensures they are going to remain happy and healthy in loving homes. If you are interested in helping us overcome this crisis and you have the ability to facilitate the adoption process n our behalf, please apply to become one of our valued partners. You can find the steps to doing so at the link below.
