My Story:
Bonny was found dumped with her buddy in a notorious dumping area. They were both terrified and confused. They would not come close. Harvesters came through the orchards, and they ran off. We feared they were gone, or worse, killed. They showed up again weeks later and it was our chance to trap them. After several hours we were able to successfully trap them and get them safe.
About Me:
Bonny has been great with little dogs and big dogs. She walks on leash and is a sweetheart. She is learning to trust again. She loves affection and is very food motivated. She is smaller in size and will make a fun little dog.

One of the most critical needs for our team are partners with the ability to help house Bakersfield Strays dogs upon being picked up. We have limited space and ability to hold them for long periods of time and our expertise is more generally suited for partnerships with larger private adoption agencies that can become a liaison between us and the forever homes of the dogs. We do have a process for becoming a partner that ensures they are going to remain happy and healthy in loving homes.
