Bill was with his buddy Ted. They were dumped out in the middle of nowhere and nothing. They were found on our feeding route and were so hungry and thirsty. They were extremely friendly and eager for rescue. They baking went in the car to get out of that horrible situation.

Bill is a one-year-old German Shepherd mix with a heart as big as his floppy ears. Rescued from the fields of Bakersfield where he was abandoned, this sweet boy has proven to be as resilient as he is lovable. Despite his rough start, Bill is an amazing dog.

One of the most critical needs for our team are partners with the ability to help house Bakersfield Strays dogs upon being picked up. We have limited space and ability to hold them for long periods of time and our expertise is more generally suited for partnerships with larger private adoption agencies that can become a liaison between us and the forever homes of the dogs. We do have a process for becoming a partner that ensures they are going to remain happy and healthy in loving homes.
