My Story:
Lorenzo was discovered concealed within the orchards of a secluded region in Bakersfield, where it was evident that he had been abandoned. Overcome with fear, he remained at a distance, feeling terrified, cold, and isolated. The surroundings were damp and muddy, offering no shelter or safety from the coyotes. It was clear that he needed to be rescued promptly. After some time and with the help of treats, he was finally captured.
About Me:
Lorenzo is an incredibly charming little fellow. He enjoys playing with his toys and has a friendly demeanor that makes him utterly lovable, especially with his docked tail. If you’re in search of a fantastic new companion, he is sure to be a wonderful addition to your life.

Rescue Partners
One of the most critical needs for our team are partners with the ability to help house Bakersfield Strays dogs upon being picked up. We have limited space and ability to hold them for long periods of time and our expertise is more generally suited for partnerships with larger private adoption agencies that can become a liaison between us and the forever homes of the dogs. We do have a process for becoming a partner that ensures they are going to remain happy and healthy in loving homes.
