Bakersfield Strays Dog Rescue Success Stories
Dog rescue success stories. The profiles below feature dogs that have been adopted by a loving family or placed with an animal rescue partner. If a dog is with a rescue partner, they may still need a permanent home. If you’re interested in adopting one of these dogs, we’re happy to provide more information on a specific dog or connect you with our adoption partner. If you need some additional information on how to care for your rescue dog you can check out some of our blogs about nurturing their health.
BORIS

Name: BORIS
Age: 2
Sex: Male
Weight: 63
Breed: Redbone Hound Mix
Reproductive: Neutered
Vaccinations: Fully Vaccinated
Microchipped: Yes
My Story:
Boris and his sister Natasha were discovered on the North East side of Bakersfield and taken to the Kern County Shelter by a concerned citizen. Sadly, due to a lack of interest and an Upper Respiratory Infection, they faced the grim prospect of euthanasia. Responding to the urgent appeals from the community, our organization stepped in to rescue them and provide the safety they desperately needed.
About Me:
Boris may be a bit shy, but he has a heart full of love. This gentle giant sees himself as a lap dog, despite his larger size, and enjoys the company of both people and other dogs. He is in search of a forever home, ideally alongside his sibling Natasha, where he can share his affectionate nature.
My Status: Adopted

Rescue Partners
One of the most critical needs for our team are partners with the ability to help house Bakersfield Strays dogs upon being picked up. We have limited space and ability to hold them for long periods of time and our expertise is more generally suited for partnerships with larger private adoption agencies that can become a liaison between us and the forever homes of the dogs. We do have a process for becoming a partner that ensures they are going to remain happy and healthy in loving homes. If you are interested in helping us overcome this crisis and you have the ability to facilitate the adoption process n our behalf, please apply to become one of our valued partners. You can find the steps to doing so at the link below.
