SERAFINA
Name: SERAFINA
Age: 2
Sex: Female
Weight: 60
Breed: German Shepherd
Reproductive: Spayed
Vaccinations: Fully Vaccinated
Microchipped: Yes
My Story:
Serafina was found in an orchard. She had given birth to 11 puppies. She was spotted going in and out of an area searching for food. She had hidden her puppies under a huge pile of metal in the orchard. With the extreme heat and the dangers of predators and other elements, we knew she had to get rescue as soon as possible. She was easily trapped and we were able to safely dig out the puppies from under the pile and the family was rescued safely.
About Me:
Serafina is the very best mom to all her new babies. She is extremely friendly and loving. She is welcoming to the humans helping her care for her pups. She doesn’t mind at all and enjoys all the attention. Serafina is dog friendly and people friendly and will make a wonderful companion when her babies are weaned and she is ready for her new home.
My Status: Fostered

Rescue Partners
One of the most critical needs for our team are partners with the ability to help house Bakersfield Strays dogs upon being picked up. We have limited space and ability to hold them for long periods of time and our expertise is more generally suited for partnerships with larger private adoption agencies that can become a liaison between us and the forever homes of the dogs. We do have a process for becoming a partner that ensures they are going to remain happy and healthy in loving homes. If you are interested in helping us overcome this crisis and you have the ability to facilitate the adoption process n our behalf, please apply to become one of our valued partners. You can find the steps to doing so at the link below.
