SNOW
Name: SNOW
Age: 18 M
Sex: Female
Weight: 45
Breed: HUSKY MIX
Reproductive: Spayed
Vaccinations: Fully Vaccinated
My Story:
Snow was spotted in an orchard where she was completely emaciated. When rescuers trying to approach her, she moved off too quickly for them to secure her. Our team returned to the location multiples times with no sign of her. Finally, with the help of a drone, she was spotted, and we gathered a larger team in order to surround her. She was not food motivated even in her frail condition and starving. She needed help and fast. We were able to get a snare on her and then a lead. She was taken immediately to the vet where she was placed on IV’s and currently undergoing treatment. She has a road to recovery, but we are so grateful she is now safe.
About Me:
Snow has been through some really difficult things in her short life. She is learning to trust but we will be taking it slow with her. As she gets healthier we will work more on socialization. She is a precious girl.
My Status: Fostered

Rescue Partners
One of the most critical needs for our team are partners with the ability to help house Bakersfield Strays dogs upon being picked up. We have limited space and ability to hold them for long periods of time and our expertise is more generally suited for partnerships with larger private adoption agencies that can become a liaison between us and the forever homes of the dogs. We do have a process for becoming a partner that ensures they are going to remain happy and healthy in loving homes. If you are interested in helping us overcome this crisis and you have the ability to facilitate the adoption process n our behalf, please apply to become one of our valued partners. You can find the steps to doing so at the link below.
