SNOW
Name: SNOW
Age: 18 M
Sex: Female
Weight: 45
Breed: HUSKY MIX
Reproductive: Spayed
Vaccinations: Fully Vaccinated
My Story:
Snow was found, alone in the orchards, in a severely malnourished state. When rescuers attempted to approach her, she quickly fled, making it difficult for them to catch her. Our team returned to the site several times but could not locate her. Eventually, with the assistance of a drone, we were able to spot her again. We organized a larger team to encircle her. Despite her frail and starving condition, she showed no interest in food, indicating her urgent need for help. We successfully placed a snare on her and secured a lead. She was rushed to the veterinarian, where she received IV treatment and care. Although her recovery journey was long, she has since healed. We are incredibly thankful that we were able to rescue her.
About Me:
Snow has faced numerous challenges in her young life. She is gradually learning to trust, and we are approaching this process gently. We are focusing more on helping her socialize but Snow is truly is a wonderful girl.
My Status: Fostered

Rescue Partners
One of the most critical needs for our team are partners with the ability to help house Bakersfield Strays dogs upon being picked up. We have limited space and ability to hold them for long periods of time and our expertise is more generally suited for partnerships with larger private adoption agencies that can become a liaison between us and the forever homes of the dogs. We do have a process for becoming a partner that ensures they are going to remain happy and healthy in loving homes. If you are interested in helping us overcome this crisis and you have the ability to facilitate the adoption process n our behalf, please apply to become one of our valued partners. You can find the steps to doing so at the link below.
