TOBY
Name: TOBY
Age: 4
Sex: Male
Weight: 67
Breed: American Bully
Reproductive: Neutered
Vaccinations: Fully Vaccinated
Microchipped: Yes
My Story:
Toby’s journey began on the unforgiving stretch of Hwy 184 in East Bakersfield CA, where he was discovered alone and vulnerable, left to fend for himself as a stray. Fortunately, a compassionate individual came across him and, recognizing his plight, offered him some much-needed food and water. Understanding that he could not provide a permanent home due to restrictions at his lodging, this kind-hearted person reached out to us for help. We quickly responded to the call, arriving to rescue Toby from the harsh realities of life on the streets, where survival is a daily struggle. By bringing him into our care, we not only saved him from a bleak existence but also opened the door to a future filled with love, safety, and the chance to thrive.
About Me:
Toby is an extraordinary dog who captures the hearts of everyone he meets. His affectionate nature shines through in his loving demeanor, as he delights in snuggling with his foster caregivers, showering them with playful, slobbery kisses.
Toby’s friendly disposition extends to his interactions with other dogs, as he gets along wonderfully with other dogs.
Now, this charming pup is on the lookout for his forever home, where he can share his boundless love and joy with a family that will cherish him as much as he deserves.
My Status: Fostered

Rescue Partners
One of the most critical needs for our team are partners with the ability to help house Bakersfield Strays dogs upon being picked up. We have limited space and ability to hold them for long periods of time and our expertise is more generally suited for partnerships with larger private adoption agencies that can become a liaison between us and the forever homes of the dogs. We do have a process for becoming a partner that ensures they are going to remain happy and healthy in loving homes. If you are interested in helping us overcome this crisis and you have the ability to facilitate the adoption process n our behalf, please apply to become one of our valued partners. You can find the steps to doing so at the link below.
