PEPPY
Name: PEPPY
Age: 1
Sex: Female
Weight: 35
Breed: Belgian Shepherd Mix
Reproductive: Spayed
Vaccinations: Fully Vaccinated
Microchipped: Yes
My Story:
Peppy was discovered foraging in a busy area of SE Bakersfield, which raised concerns about her safety due to the high traffic and environmental factors. Recognizing the urgency of her situation, we made the decision to intervene and try to rescue her. Although Peppy was not fearful, her playful nature made her difficult to catch. Our team struggled to secure her with a lead, prompting us to call animal control for assistance. After a few days, we successfully rescued her from the shelter, ensuring she would be safe and cared for.
About Me:
Peppy is an energetic and affectionate young pup who enjoys the company of other dogs and people. With her sweet nature and striking appearance, she is in need of a caring family to help her flourish. After being abandoned in the fields, Peppy deserves a loving home where she can receive the attention and care she craves. Consider adopting Peppy and give her the chance to thrive in a nurturing environment.
My Status: Fostered

Rescue Partners
One of the most critical needs for our team are partners with the ability to help house Bakersfield Strays dogs upon being picked up. We have limited space and ability to hold them for long periods of time and our expertise is more generally suited for partnerships with larger private adoption agencies that can become a liaison between us and the forever homes of the dogs. We do have a process for becoming a partner that ensures they are going to remain happy and healthy in loving homes. If you are interested in helping us overcome this crisis and you have the ability to facilitate the adoption process n our behalf, please apply to become one of our valued partners. You can find the steps to doing so at the link below.
