KAIDA
Name: KAIDA
Age: 14 M
Sex: Female
Weight: 36
Breed: Border Collie Mix
Reproductive: Spayed
Vaccinations: Fully Vaccinated
Microchipped: Yes
My Story:
During a recent journey along I5, one of our devoted feeders encountered Kaida, a vulnerable animal in a perilous situation. Over the course of several days, numerous calls were made to the California Highway Patrol, but unfortunately, no immediate assistance was rendered, leaving Kaida exposed to the relentless flow of high-speed traffic. Each moment was fraught with danger, as she was mere inches away from being struck by a vehicle. Thankfully, with the collaboration of compassionate individuals who shared our concern, we were finally able to trap Kaida, ensuring her safety and rescuing her from the imminent threat of a tragic fate.
Upon her arrival, we discovered that she was microchipped and linked to an owner who intended to surrender her.
About Me:
Because of her frightful experience, Kaida is still shy and learning to trust in her new environment with her foster. She is a beautiful dog who will need some TLC so she can start thriving in a forever loving home
My Status: Fostered

Rescue Partners
One of the most critical needs for our team are partners with the ability to help house Bakersfield Strays dogs upon being picked up. We have limited space and ability to hold them for long periods of time and our expertise is more generally suited for partnerships with larger private adoption agencies that can become a liaison between us and the forever homes of the dogs. We do have a process for becoming a partner that ensures they are going to remain happy and healthy in loving homes. If you are interested in helping us overcome this crisis and you have the ability to facilitate the adoption process n our behalf, please apply to become one of our valued partners. You can find the steps to doing so at the link below.
