JADON

Name: JADON
Age: 1
Sex: Male
Weight: 56
Breed: Flat Coat Retriever Mix
Reproductive: Neutered
Vaccinations: Fully Vaccinated
Microchipped: Yes
My Story:
While tending to one of the feeding stations, a dedicated volunteer from Friends of Abandoned Dogs stumbled upon Jadon, an adorable puppy who had recently been left behind and was desperately hungry—a sight all too familiar in the orchards of Bakersfield, California. His gentle demeanor and friendly nature made it impossible for the volunteer to leave him facing the dangers of passing traffic and lurking predators that roamed the area. In that moment, Jadon transitioned from being a stray to a cherished companion, as the volunteer recognized the urgent need to rescue him from a life of uncertainty and peril.
About Me:
Jadon is a strikingly handsome dog with a soft, furry coat that invites affection. His playful spirit shines through in every interaction, whether he’s frolicking with his canine companions or showering his human friends with love and attention. This charming lad possesses a friendly demeanor, making him a joy to be around for both people and other dogs alike. Currently, he is patiently awaiting the opportunity for rescue or the chance to find his forever home, where he can share his warmth and playful energy with a loving family. Jadon’s eagerness to connect and his affectionate nature make him a perfect companion for anyone looking to add a furry friend to their life.
My Status: Fostered

Rescue Partners
One of the most critical needs for our team are partners with the ability to help house Bakersfield Strays dogs upon being picked up. We have limited space and ability to hold them for long periods of time and our expertise is more generally suited for partnerships with larger private adoption agencies that can become a liaison between us and the forever homes of the dogs. We do have a process for becoming a partner that ensures they are going to remain happy and healthy in loving homes. If you are interested in helping us overcome this crisis and you have the ability to facilitate the adoption process n our behalf, please apply to become one of our valued partners. You can find the steps to doing so at the link below.
