FARAH

Name: FARAH
Age: 1.5
Sex: Female
Weight: 47
Breed: Carolina Dog Mix
Reproductive: Spayed
Vaccinations: Fully Vaccinated
Microchipped: Yes
My Story:
On December 8, Farah was first seen in Southeast Bakersfield, CA, and later spotted running through fields near Hoskings and Colony, but she remained difficult to catch. In February, a photo of her was shared on Facebook, in the same area and we spotted her hiding in the tall grass.
After months of braving the cold weather near busy highways, we knew we had to act quickly to ensure her safety. With a solid plan in place, we were finally able to rescue Farah from a potentially grim outcome.
About Me:
Farah is sociable with other dogs and has a playful spirit. After spending many months alone, she is gradually learning to trust people again, revealing her affectionate nature when she feels secure. Farah is eagerly awaiting her forever home, where she can thrive and share her love.
My Status: Fostered

Rescue Partners
One of the most critical needs for our team are partners with the ability to help house Bakersfield Strays dogs upon being picked up. We have limited space and ability to hold them for long periods of time and our expertise is more generally suited for partnerships with larger private adoption agencies that can become a liaison between us and the forever homes of the dogs. We do have a process for becoming a partner that ensures they are going to remain happy and healthy in loving homes. If you are interested in helping us overcome this crisis and you have the ability to facilitate the adoption process n our behalf, please apply to become one of our valued partners. You can find the steps to doing so at the link below.
