GEORGIA

Name: GEORGIA
Age: 10 M
Sex: Female
Weight: 48
Breed: Belgian Malinois Mix
Reproductive: Spayed
Vaccinations: Fully Vaccinated
Microchipped: Yes
My Story:
Georgia was found with her siblings on a notorious dumping ground in Southeast Bakersfield, where they were exposed to countless dangers and vulnerable to injury, attacks, and even being killed by coyotes.
Thankfully, one of our dedicated volunteers was able to secure Georgia and her siblings and get them to safety. But their fight was far from over.
Sadly, all three puppies tested positive for Parvo.
That’s when Bakersfield Strays stepped in. We provided these precious puppies with the treatment, medical care, and support they desperately needed, giving them the chance to survive and grow into the happy, healthy dogs they deserve to be.
About Me:
Georgia has fought hard and conquered Parvo—and now this sweet girl is ready for the happy ending she deserves!
Still young, playful, and full of love, Georgia absolutely adores people and gets along wonderfully with other dogs. She has been through so much, but through it all, she has remained a loving, happy girl.
Now, all Georgia needs is a family of her own—someone to love her, spoil her, and show her what it truly means to have a forever home.
Could you be Georgia’s happily-ever-after? Please consider giving this deserving girl the loving home she’s been waiting for!
My Status: Fostered

Rescue Partners
One of the most critical needs for our team are partners with the ability to help house Bakersfield Strays dogs upon being picked up. We have limited space and ability to hold them for long periods of time and our expertise is more generally suited for partnerships with larger private adoption agencies that can become a liaison between us and the forever homes of the dogs. We do have a process for becoming a partner that ensures they are going to remain happy and healthy in loving homes. If you are interested in helping us overcome this crisis and you have the ability to facilitate the adoption process n our behalf, please apply to become one of our valued partners. You can find the steps to doing so at the link below.
