Bakersfield Strays Dog Rescue Success Stories
Dog rescue success stories. The profiles below feature dogs that have been adopted by a loving family or placed with an animal rescue partner. If a dog is with a rescue partner, they may still need a permanent home. If you’re interested in adopting one of these dogs, we’re happy to provide more information on a specific dog or connect you with our adoption partner. If you need some additional information on how to care for your rescue dog you can check out some of our blogs about nurturing their health.
MAX

Name: MAX
Age: 6 m
Sex: Male
Weight: 50
Breed: Dane/Collie mix
Reproductive: Neutered
Vaccinations: Fully Vaccinated

My Story:
Found dumped at an oil rig in the orchard with his siblings. Just babies. All his siblings were adopted but a field worker took him from the litter before the group was rescued. Fast forward, the worker decided he didn’t want him and let him roam. Max was picked up by animal control. He is now with us and is safe.
About Me:
Max is extremely sweet and friendly. He is such a good boy. He loves to play on the water. Max is dog friendly and people friendly. He will make an amazing companion and family dog. He is ready for a family that will commit to love him into old age.

Rescue Partners
One of the most critical needs for our team are partners with the ability to help house Bakersfield Strays dogs upon being picked up. We have limited space and ability to hold them for long periods of time and our expertise is more generally suited for partnerships with larger private adoption agencies that can become a liaison between us and the forever homes of the dogs. We do have a process for becoming a partner that ensures they are going to remain happy and healthy in loving homes. If you are interested in helping us overcome this crisis and you have the ability to facilitate the adoption process n our behalf, please apply to become one of our valued partners. You can find the steps to doing so at the link below.
