Bakersfield Strays Dog Rescue Success Stories
Dog rescue success stories. The profiles below feature dogs that have been adopted by a loving family or placed with an animal rescue partner. If a dog is with a rescue partner, they may still need a permanent home. If you’re interested in adopting one of these dogs, we’re happy to provide more information on a specific dog or connect you with our adoption partner. If you need some additional information on how to care for your rescue dog you can check out some of our blogs about nurturing their health.
PIPER
Name: PIPER
Age: 3 1/2 M
Sex: Male
Weight: 31
Breed: Cattle dog mix
Reproductive: Neutered
Vaccinations: Fully Vaccinated
Microchipped: Yes
My Story:
Piper was found deep inside of an irrigation pipe. He would come out when he felt safe but not when we would come. he would hide in the pipe which was 30 ft deep and unable to reach him. We devised a plan with piping to purge him out the other end and into a crate and it worked. He was terrified and barking. Once secured we realized how young he was. He still had all his baby teeth.
About Me:
Piper is the cutest little ball of fur. He is still full of puppy and loves to play with everything. He loves to give kisses and is always looking for fun. He is doing great on leash and does well with other dogs. He will make a wonderful new baby for your family.
My Status: Adopted

Rescue Partners
One of the most critical needs for our team are partners with the ability to help house Bakersfield Strays dogs upon being picked up. We have limited space and ability to hold them for long periods of time and our expertise is more generally suited for partnerships with larger private adoption agencies that can become a liaison between us and the forever homes of the dogs. We do have a process for becoming a partner that ensures they are going to remain happy and healthy in loving homes. If you are interested in helping us overcome this crisis and you have the ability to facilitate the adoption process n our behalf, please apply to become one of our valued partners. You can find the steps to doing so at the link below.
