Success Stories
The profiles below feature dogs that have been adopted by a loving family or placed with an animal rescue partner. If a dog is with a rescue partner, they may still need a permanent home. If you’re interested in adopting one of these dogs, we’re happy to provide more information on a specific dog or connect you with our adoption partner.
June Bug
Name: June Bug
Age: 1
Sex: Female
Weight: 50
Breed: Malinoise
Reproductive: Spayed
Vaccinations: Fully Vaccinated
Microchipped: Yes
My Story:
June Bug was seen dumped in an orchard on our feeding route. She stayed in the area and would get close but was scared and wouldn’t get close enough. Was able to lure her with vienna sausages and get her safe. She was very sweet and gently once she had a lead on but was really scared
About Me:
June bug is very friendly and gently. She is absolutely beautiful and smart like most Malinois. She is a grateful girl that knows she is in good hands now.
My Status: Adopted

Rescue Partners
One of the most critical needs for our team are partners with the ability to help house Bakersfield Strays dogs upon being picked up. We have limited space and ability to hold them for long periods of time and our expertise is more generally suited for partnerships with larger private adoption agencies that can become a liaison between us and the forever homes of the dogs. We do have a process for becoming a partner that ensures they are going to remain happy and healthy in loving homes. If you are interested in helping us overcome this crisis and you have the ability to facilitate the adoption process n our behalf, please apply to become one of our valued partners. You can find the steps to doing so at the link below.
