Gizmo was found darting across Highway 184 in Lamont CA with his sibling, Rocky, in an area notorious for being a dumping ground. The busy roadway presented a serious risk, with fast-moving vehicles threatening their safety. Aware of the imminent danger, we acted quickly and successfully rescued both of them without any complications.
About Me:
Gizmo is an endearing little companion with a warm personality, though he tends to be a bit shy. He has a special affection for both dogs and humans, and his playful spirit is evident. Gizmo dreams of finding a forever home where he can share his boundless joy and energy with a loving family.

Rescue Partners
One of the most critical needs for our team are partners with the ability to help house Bakersfield Strays dogs upon being picked up. We have limited space and ability to hold them for long periods of time and our expertise is more generally suited for partnerships with larger private adoption agencies that can become a liaison between us and the forever homes of the dogs. We do have a process for becoming a partner that ensures they are going to remain happy and healthy in loving homes.
