Bakersfield Strays Dog Rescue Success Stories
Dog rescue success stories. The profiles below feature dogs that have been adopted by a loving family or placed with an animal rescue partner. If a dog is with a rescue partner, they may still need a permanent home. If you’re interested in adopting one of these dogs, we’re happy to provide more information on a specific dog or connect you with our adoption partner. My Story:
Natasha and her brother Boris were found on the northeast side of Bakersfield and brought to the Kern County Shelter by a compassionate citizen. Unfortunately, due to a lack of interest in their adoption and a diagnosis of Upper Respiratory Infection, they were at risk of euthanasia. In response to the community’s urgent calls for help, our organization intervened to rescue them, ensuring they received the care and safety they so desperately needed.
About Me:
Natasha is an incredibly affectionate and gentle girl who radiates warmth and joy, especially when she’s playing with her beloved sibling, Boris. Her playful spirit shines through in every interaction, whether she’s frolicking in the yard or snuggling up for a cozy nap. Natasha thrives in social settings, effortlessly charming everyone she meets, and she has a natural affinity for other dogs, making her a delightful companion in any environment. Like her brother, she longs for a nurturing, permanent home where she can share her love and happiness, ideally alongside Boris, so they can continue to create beautiful memories together. Their bond is truly special, and finding a family that can embrace both of them would be the ultimate dream for this sweet duo.

Rescue Partners
One of the most critical needs for our team are partners with the ability to help house Bakersfield Strays dogs upon being picked up. We have limited space and ability to hold them for long periods of time and our expertise is more generally suited for partnerships with larger private adoption agencies that can become a liaison between us and the forever homes of the dogs. We do have a process for becoming a partner that ensures they are going to remain happy and healthy in loving homes. If you are interested in helping us overcome this crisis and you have the ability to facilitate the adoption process n our behalf, please apply to become one of our valued partners. You can find the steps to doing so at the link below.
