Bakersfield Strays Dog Rescue Success Stories
Dog rescue success stories. The profiles below feature dogs that have been adopted by a loving family or placed with an animal rescue partner. If a dog is with a rescue partner, they may still need a permanent home. If you’re interested in adopting one of these dogs, we’re happy to provide more information on a specific dog or connect you with our adoption partner. MYLA
Name: MYLA
Age: 10 M
Sex: Female
Weight: 40
Breed: Lab Retriever Mix
Reproductive: Spayed
Vaccinations: Fully Vaccinated
Microchipped: Yes
My Story:
While feeding, one of our dedicated volunteers stumbled upon Myla, who had been cruelly abandoned in a remote notorious dumping ground on the East Side, surrounded by desolation and endless fields. Despite the harsh conditions and her overwhelming hunger and thirst, Myla approached our feeder with a glimmer of hope in her eyes, seeking the warmth of human affection that she had been deprived of. The dire isolation of her surroundings, coupled with the potential dangers that lurked nearby, made it imperative to save her immediately. Myla was brought to safety, and she will finally begin to heal from the trauma of her abandonment and receive the love and care she so desperately needed.
About Me:
Myla is an affectionate young dog with a gentle spirit, eagerly searching for a loving forever home where she can truly belong. With her trusting nature, she easily forms bonds with people and has a friendly disposition towards other dogs, making her a delightful companion for both individuals and families alike. If you’re looking for a loyal friend who will fill your days with happiness, Myla could be the perfect addition to your family.

Rescue Partners
One of the most critical needs for our team are partners with the ability to help house Bakersfield Strays dogs upon being picked up. We have limited space and ability to hold them for long periods of time and our expertise is more generally suited for partnerships with larger private adoption agencies that can become a liaison between us and the forever homes of the dogs. We do have a process for becoming a partner that ensures they are going to remain happy and healthy in loving homes. If you are interested in helping us overcome this crisis and you have the ability to facilitate the adoption process n our behalf, please apply to become one of our valued partners. You can find the steps to doing so at the link below.
