We received an urgent text detailing the plight of (8) abandoned furry companions left in a desolate area. Mack and his siblings were found emaciated and terrified, and left vulnerable to relentless heat, and lurking predators like coyotes.
Despite the overwhelming odds stacked against us—an absence of resources, and a lack of rescue organizations to turn to—we could not simply stand by. Instead, we rallied together, driven by compassion and determination, embarking on a mission that seems impossible and saved Mack and her siblings.
About Me:
Mack has made an incredible recovery from his battle with Giardia and is now thriving in his foster home, where he enjoys the company of his siblings. As the largest puppy in the litter, he stands out not only for his size but also for his playful spirit and charming personality. Mack has taken on the role of the affectionate little leader of the pack, often initiating games and playtime with his brothers and sisters. His friendly demeanor makes him a joy to be around, as he interacts well with both other dogs and people, showcasing his sociable nature. Now, Mack is eagerly searching for his forever home, where he can continue to spread his love and energy.

One of the most critical needs for our team are partners with the ability to help house Bakersfield Strays dogs upon being picked up. We have limited space and ability to hold them for long periods of time and our expertise is more generally suited for partnerships with larger private adoption agencies that can become a liaison between us and the forever homes of the dogs. We do have a process for becoming a partner that ensures they are going to remain happy and healthy in loving homes.
