CHIMAY

Name: CHIMAY
Age: 9 m
Sex: Female
Weight: 50
Breed: Malinois Mix
Reproductive: Spayed
Vaccinations: Fully Vaccinated
Microchipped: Yes
My Story:
While driving home, one of our dedicated volunteers stumbled upon a dog stranded in a desolate area near the I5 highway. The dog, later named Chimay, clearly bore the marks of abandonment, and given the remote location, it was evident that she would struggle to survive without help. Despite the harsh treatment she had received from humans, Chimay remained remarkably friendly and was eager to connect with anyone who showed her kindness. Our volunteer quickly recognized her plight and was able to gently secure her, ensuring that Chimay would no longer face the dangers of life as a stray. In that moment, a new chapter began for her, filled with hope and the promise of a loving home.
About Me:
Chimay is an affectionate girl who thrives on human and canine companionship. Her playful spirit shines through, even after enduring challenging experiences, showcasing her unwavering love for people. This delightful pup is currently seeking a forever home or a rescue organization that can provide her with the care and attention she deserves. With her loyal nature and protective instincts, Chimay is poised to become the devoted furry friend that anyone would be lucky to have by their side.

Rescue Partners
One of the most critical needs for our team are partners with the ability to help house Bakersfield Strays dogs upon being picked up. We have limited space and ability to hold them for long periods of time and our expertise is more generally suited for partnerships with larger private adoption agencies that can become a liaison between us and the forever homes of the dogs. We do have a process for becoming a partner that ensures they are going to remain happy and healthy in loving homes. If you are interested in helping us overcome this crisis and you have the ability to facilitate the adoption process n our behalf, please apply to become one of our valued partners. You can find the steps to doing so at the link below.
