Bakersfield Strays Dog Rescue Success Stories
Dog rescue success stories. The profiles below feature dogs that have been adopted by a loving family or placed with an animal rescue partner. If a dog is with a rescue partner, they may still need a permanent home. If you’re interested in adopting one of these dogs, we’re happy to provide more information on a specific dog or connect you with our adoption partner. ESMAY

Name: ESMAY
Age: 1
Sex: Female
Weight: 4
Breed: Chi Terrier Mix
Reproductive: Unknown
Vaccinations: Unknown
Microchipped: Unknown
My Story:
Found abandoned on Hoskings, Esmay was left waiting by a telephone pole, vulnerable to the dangers of passing traffic and the lurking threat of coyotes. The fear she experienced was palpable, making her incredibly elusive and difficult to catch. For three long days, our team tirelessly pursued her, employing various strategies to coax her into safety. Each attempt was met with her instinctive wariness, as she darted away at the slightest sound or movement. However, our determination never wavered, and after countless hours of patience and perseverance, we finally succeeded in securing Esmay. The relief and joy we felt at that moment were immeasurable, knowing that she was now safe from the perils that had surrounded her.
About Me:
Esmay is a petite creature who embodies shyness and apprehension. Her timid nature often keeps her hidden away, but with a gentle touch and a nurturing environment, she has the potential to transform into the affectionate companion we all believe she can become. With patience and love, Esmay can gradually learn to trust, revealing her sweet personality and endearing quirks. Each day spent in a caring atmosphere will help her shed her fears, allowing her true character to shine through, making her not just a pet, but a cherished member of the family.

Rescue Partners
One of the most critical needs for our team are partners with the ability to help house Bakersfield Strays dogs upon being picked up. We have limited space and ability to hold them for long periods of time and our expertise is more generally suited for partnerships with larger private adoption agencies that can become a liaison between us and the forever homes of the dogs. We do have a process for becoming a partner that ensures they are going to remain happy and healthy in loving homes. If you are interested in helping us overcome this crisis and you have the ability to facilitate the adoption process n our behalf, please apply to become one of our valued partners. You can find the steps to doing so at the link below.
