MANA

Name: MANA
Age: 2
Sex: Female
Weight: 60
Breed: Mixed Breed
Reproductive: Not Fixed
Vaccinations: Needs Shots
Microchipped: No
My Story:
Along Highway 58 and Cottonwood, a heavily pregnant animal has been seen foraging for food over the past few weeks, desperately searching for sustenance in a challenging environment. The sight of her, with her swollen belly and weary demeanor, evokes a deep sense of compassion. Despite her vulnerable state, she has managed to navigate the area, demonstrating resilience in the face of adversity. Her condition makes her particularly easy to approach, raising concerns about her safety and well-being as she struggles to find nourishment for herself and her unborn offspring. The urgency of her situation highlights the need for immediate assistance, as she represents not just a solitary creature in distress, but a poignant reminder of the fragility of life in the wild.
About Me:

Recognizing the gravity of her circumstances, Legacy of Love acted swiftly to provide the necessary support and care. Their prompt intervention not only ensured her safety but also offered her a chance for a brighter future.

Rescue Partners
One of the most critical needs for our team are partners with the ability to help house Bakersfield Strays dogs upon being picked up. We have limited space and ability to hold them for long periods of time and our expertise is more generally suited for partnerships with larger private adoption agencies that can become a liaison between us and the forever homes of the dogs. We do have a process for becoming a partner that ensures they are going to remain happy and healthy in loving homes. If you are interested in helping us overcome this crisis and you have the ability to facilitate the adoption process n our behalf, please apply to become one of our valued partners. You can find the steps to doing so at the link below.
